The City of Hoboken is looking for a technology consultant to advise and provide input and design suggestions for the Information Technology implemented throughout the city. Candidate must have enterprise management experience in networking and telecommunications. This experience should include project management, solution design and implementation. The consultant will report directly to the Mayor and work with the IT department to evaluate the current infrastructure and help develop a plan to upgrade the infrastructure. Municipal experience preferred.

Proposed projects include:

• Revamped telecommunications, including phone system/voicemail and Internet access
• Implementation of collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Exchange Server
• Document Management
• Identification of software to improve constituent services, including the city’s website.

This is not a full-time position.  Compensation rate is dependent upon qualifications.
