Citizen Watchdog Summit with the Franklin Center for Government & Public Integrity
~ Sponsored by AFP Foundation ~
We’ve all heard stories of wasteful spending, egregious cases of government abuse and overreach, of double dipping politicians, and even closed door meetings. But why aren’t these stories being told in the media?
That’s where engaged citizens like YOU come into play. We need your help to be government watchdogs in New Jersey.
To learn more, join us at the Atlantic City Convention Center on Saturday, May 18.
Americans for Prosperity Foundation New Jersey is partnering with Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity’s Citizen Watchdog team to bring you a day filled with information, national speakers, and experts. We are going to provide you with tools to hold elected officials accountable at the local and state level.
You’ll hear from two New Jersey Natives:
*James O’Keefe the man from Project Veritas who helped take down ACORN
*Guy Benson: Townhall Political Editor and Fox News Contributor
Also nationally renowned Conservative Firebrand Dana Loesch. She’s a syndicated radio host, Tea Party Founder, CNN, Fox News, and Breitbart.com Contributor, and MOM.
Alongside a lineup of experienced instructors, you will hear presentations on the following topics:
-Social Networking: How To Make an Impact Online
-Be The Media: Getting Your Story in the News Cycle
-Video Activism: Shady Dealings Caught on Tape
-Strategic Research: Vetting Candidates and Politicians
-Key Issues New Jersey Citizens Should Follow
You’ve heard of Twitter. You may be on Facebook. But we’ll help you be a part of that new media! Hands-on training will be available! Bring your Laptop, IPAD or Tablet or we’ll have some available to get you ONLINE.
You’ll learn how to turn your observations into a publishable story, how a Facebook rant can actually be a story. If you have a phone that takes pictures or video, you can be a part of history!
Join us at the Atlantic City Convention Center from 9am-5pm on Saturday May 18th. Lunch will be included.
