Question/Comment: Hi,

I am a bit concerned about the priority of education in the City of Hoboken. Not sure where to address this, but your site came up and decided it was a good place to start. Who is the contact person for such an issue?

As an educator, I know that education is the root of a positive environment and a thriving area.  NJ has and continues to have high standards for education across the board. Why should Hoboken fall through the cracks?

With all the building going on money is pouring in and education gets major budget cuts. Who is explaining that?

Building continues, families move in, where do the kids go to school? The schools are overcrowded with teachers being let go. How will this help Hoboken with this "master plan?"   

Hoboken schools need to improve. The Hoboken community needs to be able to put their trust in the school system.

Many young couples start a family here but then leave to settle in an area of NJ with better schooling.  That is acceptable to the current administration, but not to me.  I want to have a family here and would love to teach here, however, I am concerned about a community that places such a low priority on education. Are children just not that important in Hoboken? I guess hotels and apartment buildings, which bring in more money and crowding, mean more than educating children properly.

Just something that has been bothering me and wanted to vent.
